back to work

So, we’re done with tour, had a great time thank you OC.  So its on to new things, more specifically a new work by one of the most interesting people I’ve ever worked with, Mark Morris.  And then next week we begin a creation by Ashley Page.  Mark I’ve worked with several times so I knew what to expect (including humiliation…in a good way), but I have no idea what it will be like with Ashley Page, we don’t even know who or how many people will be involved yet.  He has been watching rehearsals and classes to cast, and even though its not technically an audition, it always feels like it when there’s someone you want to impress in the room.  Lately I’ve been feeling like life is just a big audition, kind of like the old “life is not a dress rehearsal.”  Definitely true, even when you’re actually in a dress rehearsal.  😉  Anyway, look for Mark’s ballet in the spring season at the Opera House in February.  Details here.  I can tell you its for nine men and there’s some partnering…definitely a new one for me, and probably for the audience too!  Its going to be new and great!  And, its on a program that includes Wayne Macgregor’s Chroma and Wheeldon’s Number Nine.  Now that’s a progressive program at the ballet. See you there…
